Tellus Project

Filming in Leitrim last week. We’re producing a feature report on the Tellus Project for the Nationwide programme. The Tellus Border geochemical survey is currently underway in counties Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal. Teams of samplers are working across the area, collecting samples from small streams and rivers. These samples of the water, vegetation and sediment from the stream bed will be chemically analysed for a range of elements.

Cruel Sea

Here is the first song completed from the Henry Girls live show in Derry which Mark McCauley and I filmed in February. I’ve been editing this on an Avid Media Composer system using the Multi- Camera function.

Ethiopia

Working in in the town of Lalibela in Northern Ethiopia where we were based for two days. We chose this location to shoot what will eventually become the opening to the programme. It was quite early in the morning and very warm. Two days previous to this I was hardly able stand up as a result of a very bad stomach bug and an 8 hour journey by road in the back of a Land Cruiser in blistering heat. Thanks to everyone who looked after me & nursed me back to health and we still managed to film every day.
